WHS&E Policy Development

In this area we engage with you and your senior management team to develop a set of polices/statements that encapsulate your organisation commitment to providing a safe and harmonious workplace, which does not through its actions or inaction endanger the environment.

The Policy Statements that will be developed for you are written in plain English that clearly define your organisation commitment and meet the requirements of the various Australian State and Federal requirements.

WHS&E Procedure Development

In this area we engage with you, your senior management team and your workers to ensure that you have a documented system of work that ensure each task is done as safely and as environmentally friendly as it is reasonably practical to achieve.

With this in place you can demonstrate your compliance with the various State and Federal WHS & E Legislative requirements.

Site Safety Plane or EHS Project Management Plan Development

Site Safety Plane or EHS Project Management Plan Development (PMP) is a legislative requirement for most construction site. Working with how your organisation manages site-based work. We develop a document that clearly outlines the requirement your typical project. What is been done and processes need to be followed so as to not fall fowl of the various Principle Builder, State and Federal WHS&E requirements.

This document also includes the documents needed to prove that you have meet your WHS&E Legislative requirements and instructs staff who to carry out the work safely.

It also provides the documents and procedures to be followed in the event of an incident

Site Inspection, Risk Assessments and Compliance Audits

Part of an organisation legal obligation to maintain a Safe and Environmentally friendly workplace. You have to be able to demonstrate that you have a compliant work place and compliant systems of work that is being complied with.

To assist you in this we can come to your site/s and carry out site Safety and Environmental compliance inspection. Once these are done you will be provided with a documented report, including non-conformances if any, and recommended corrective actions.

Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) Development – Tier 1 compliant

SWMS are required for high and medium risk work activities and for tasks requiring a Permit to Work. Those activities include:

  • is carried out on a telecommunication tower
  • involves a risk of a person falling more than 2 m
  • involves demolition of an element of a structure that is loadbearing
  • involves demolition of an element of a structure that is related to the physical integrity of the structure
  • involves, or is likely to involve, disturbing asbestos
  • involves structural alteration or repair that requires temporary support to prevent collapse
  • is carried out in or near a confined space
  • is carried out in or near a shaft or trench deeper than 1.5 m or a tunnel
  • involves the use of explosives
  • is carried out on or near pressurised gas mains or piping
  • is carried out on or near chemical, fuel or refrigerant lines
  • is carried out on or near energised electrical installations or services
  • is carried out in an area that may have a contaminated or flammable atmosphere
  • involves tilt-up or precast concrete
  • is carried out on, in or adjacent to a road, railway, shipping lane or other traffic corridor in use by traffic other than pedestrians
  • is carried out in an area of a workplace where there is any movement of powered mobile plant – EWP
  • is carried out in areas with artificial extremes of temperature
  • is carried out in or near water or other liquid that involves a risk of drowning
  • involves diving work.

Working with you managers and workers, we will develop an editable suite of SWMS that safely controls all the inherent hazards associated with the tasks your organisation regularly undertakes.

We can and will work with your organization to develop Specific SWMS as and when they are required.

Another services we offer is the annual review and update of the SWMS to ensure they remain current.

Tender Submissions

Tenders are becoming ever more prescriptive in regard to the information that you are require to provide before your organisation will even be consider for the tender. Working with you we can assist in the completion of the WHS, Environmental and Quality aspects of your tender questionnaires.

HR Policy Development

If you do not have HR Polices in place you leave your organisation open to claims which can be expensive and time consuming.

We can help you develop the Polices you need to avoid this.

HR Procedure Development

Having documented polices in place that are followed great reduces the risk of a claim for unfair dismissal being made or being successful. This goes for All the other areas when it comes to Staff Management.

If one of our clients has a safety issue on site, they contact us and we ring the Site Safety officer and sort it out for them. We speak the safety lingo lots of acronym.

One of our clients’ needs to discipline a staff member, they discuss it with us first. Just to ensure they are being fair and reasonable. In some case we dismiss staff to ensure its done right.

Fair-work Claims – we prepare submit the documentation on our client’s behalf and we take the call for the initial arbitration.

Onsite Incident – The Clients ring us and we walk them through the process, We often lodge the WC Claims and Worksafe notifications on behalf of our clients.
